Looking for a fun and active way for your kids to spend their Saturdays this winter? Check out the SOUTH HOUSTON - PEARLAND RISE Flag Football! Running from mid-January through February, this exciting league takes place at the Veterans Sports Complex on Bailey Road in Pearland. It's a wonderful way to keep kids engaged in sports, especially as the games are conveniently hosted on Saturdays—ideal for busy families.

This flag football league is designed around your child's current grade level, with divisions ranging from kindergarten all the way through high school. Notably, there's a special Girls Only division for middle and high school athletes, which is fantastic for empowering young girls in sports. Each team is composed of 8-10 players, ensuring everyone gets plenty of playtime.

What I love most is the inclusive environment—they form teams based on friend or coach requests, so your child can play with familiar faces. Plus, all coaches are volunteer parents, making it a very supportive community. With voluntary practices happening on game day, even multi-sport athletes can join without hassle. There's no better way to create lasting friendships and develop teamwork skills. The whole family will enjoy a season filled with touchdowns and cheers!
