Sports have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Ever since I could walk, I’ve been playing. I live for the game, always giving 110% and pushing myself while lifting up my teammates along the way. I believe that the effort you put in is what you’ll get out; nothing worthwhile is simply handed to you. Having true heart for the game matters most. Academically, I’ve faced challenges, especially with comprehension and reading due to a mild form of dyslexia I discovered in my junior year of high school. School hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve never let that stop me from giving my best. I’ve learned that grades don’t define your character. Giving back to my community is something I hold close to my heart. I try to live by the golden rule: do for others as you’d want done for you. And above all, I remind myself that God gave so much for us, it’s the least we can do to give back.
