I am a 16-year-old athlete from Shepherdsville, KY. I started playing flag football a year ago, and already I have developed a huge passion for it. I am a very versatile player, I know every position on the field. However, I mainly play WR and CB. I am always watching videos and games to see how I can better myself in the game. Before flag, I had played basketball my entire life. It was tradition in my family to play, so other sports weren’t exactly an option. Or so I thought. By 8th grade year, I was so burnt out from having basketball 365 days a year that I just couldn’t do it anymore. I thought my days as an athlete were over. When sophomore year came around, I got news that my aunt had been offered a job as the first flag football coach at my school. She convinced me to come to try outs, and I ended up falling in love with it. Every practice I am the first one on the field and the last to leave. I have huge dreams to play in college and maybe one day get to rep the flag on the USA team! I’m excited to see what this sport has in store for me and my future.
