Myriam Areche is a dynamic multi-position flag football athlete from Yonkers, New York, who competes at wide receiver, defensive back, and quarterback. A versatile playmaker on both sides of the ball, Myriam has distinguished herself through her athleticism, football IQ, competitiveness, and ability to impact every phase of the game. During the Fall 2025 Yonkers Girls Flag Football League season, Myriam helped lead her team to an undefeated championship, earning League MVP honors after an outstanding all-around performance. She has also earned All-Section and All-League recognition, establishing herself as one of the area's emerging girls flag football athletes.
Her versatility continued to show in 2026, producing 333 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, 566 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, 254 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, and 70 flag pulls. Whether creating offense with the ball in her hands, making plays in coverage, or stepping into the quarterback position, Myriam brings energy and competitiveness wherever her team needs her.
Beyond statistics, Myriam is committed to developing her game and challenging herself against high-level competition. Her goal is to continue growing as a student-athlete, competing at increasingly higher levels of girls flag football and ultimately pursuing the opportunity to play flag football at the collegiate level.
