NFL FLAG Championships Go Global: International Division Debuts on ESPN This Week

Mark your calendars, because in three days flag football goes prime time — and this year, the world is watching too. On July 23–26, the 2026 NFL FLAG Championships presented by Toyota return to Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana, and for the first time in the event's history, ESPN will broadcast games from an International Division featuring 12 countries.

For a youth flag football community that has spent years proving this sport belongs on the biggest stages, this is a milestone worth pausing on.

What's happening

More than 350 U.S. boys' and girls' teams qualified for the championships by winning NFL FLAG Regional Tournaments hosted by NFL clubs across the country. They'll be joined by international squads from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Spain, competing in 15U coed and 15U girls' divisions.

ESPN is presenting 34 total games — 15 boys', 15 girls', and, for the first time ever, four International Division games — across ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, ESPN Deportes, NFL Network, Disney+, and Disney Channel. The broadcasts will feature referee cameras built into officials' hats, mic'd-up players, drone coverage, and a new virtual graphics package designed to make youth flag football look and feel like the pro game.
