What if the flag football game your kid plays this summer ends up broadcast on ESPN? That's not a hypothetical — it's the reality for youth athletes competing in the 2026 NFL FLAG Regional Tournament Series happening right now across the country.
The 3rd Annual NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota returns July 23–26, 2026, at the Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana — a 400-acre complex with more than 30 fields just outside Indianapolis. Over 350 girls and boys teams from across the globe will compete, making this the largest edition of the championship yet.
And yes — games will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney XD. For a youth athlete, that's a moment they'll never forget.
The road to Westfield runs through one of 16 Regional Tournaments happening this summer. The formula is simple: win your age division at a regional tournament, earn a free bid to the Championships.
Age divisions currently competing:
▸ Co-ed: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U
▸ All-Girls: 10U, 12U, 14U, and 17U
Each NFL team hosts a regional, and teams compete within their home region — unless it's a Super Regional, which is open to any NFL FLAG team nationwide. Regionals are kicking off right now: the Seattle Seahawks are hosting on June 6, with the Chiefs, Jaguars, Cardinals, and over a dozen more scheduled through July. The window to qualify is open — but it won't stay that way for long.
For coaches and league organizers, this is the moment to make sure your players understand the door is open. The NFL FLAG Championship structure creates a real competitive ladder that starts right in your community. A kid playing in a summer park league today could be competing in a nationally televised championship six weeks from now.
This is also a powerful recruiting and retention tool for leagues. When families see that their local NFL FLAG program is a pipeline — not just a recreational outlet — registration interest grows. The sport has never had more visible infrastructure, and the summer tournament season is the clearest proof of that.
