About

Girls across Fort Mill, Tega Cay, and the surrounding York County communities now have a flag football league of their own. GirlPower Fort Mill — run by Girl Power Carolinas, a female-founded and operated league — offers all-girls divisions from kindergarten through 12th grade as part of the NFL FLAG program. Sunday game days at Springfield Elementary keep the commitment family-friendly: practice runs one hour before each game, with no weekday practices, so the whole season fits into about two hours a week. A reversible jersey and flag belt are included for every player.

Founded by Logan Sandate, Girl Power Carolinas built its reputation in Mooresville before expanding into South Carolina, and the mission has stayed the same: empower girls through competitive, confidence-building sports. No tryouts, no prior experience needed — just a place where girls encourage girls, learn to dig deep, and compete in a supportive environment. Each season builds toward a league-wide championship weekend. Spots fill quickly, so don't wait to register!
