About

Western Pennsylvania has produced some of the greatest football players and toughest football towns in America — and now its girls get a league of their own. GirlPower Pittsburgh brings all-girls flag football to the region, with divisions for girls from kindergarten through high school. First-timers and experienced athletes are equally welcome: every girl plays, and every girl gets the chance to compete, grow, and find her team.

GirlPower Pittsburgh is part of the national GirlPower Flag Football network, whose mission is to help every girl build confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships through the game — football is simply the vehicle. With girls flag football surging across Pennsylvania and nationally, backed by NCAA emerging-sport status and a 2028 Olympic debut, there's never been a better moment for a girl in the Pittsburgh area to pick up a flag belt.
