The Coed 6U team is where the Cajun Heat journey starts. Boys and girls ages 6 and under (typically kindergarten and 1st grade) learn the fundamentals — catching, flag pulling, running with the ball, lining up right — through drills built for young athletes and coaches who keep it fun. Even at this age, Cajun Heat athletes get real tournament experience, learning what it feels like to put on the jersey, warm up with teammates, and compete.

That early exposure is the point. Most 6-year-olds in the Gonzales area have never seen travel flag football; Cajun Heat's youngest team grows up inside it. By the time these athletes move up, competing is normal, teammates are family, and the foundation is set.
