Coed 7U is the bridge year. Athletes ages 7 and under (typically 1st–2nd grade) take the raw fundamentals and start turning them into football: cleaner routes, better flag-pulling angles, understanding downs and situations. Practices add structure, and tournament play adds pressure in the right doses — enough to teach athletes how to compete, never enough to squeeze the fun out.

Because Cajun Heat runs separate 6U and 7U rosters instead of lumping ages together, every athlete plays against true peers. That means more touches, more meaningful reps, and faster development for young athletes in Ascension Parish and beyond.
