My name is Coach Ken Diaz, a lifelong resident of Middlesex and Somerset Counties with over 18 years of experience coaching both tackle and flag football.

I’m proud to introduce the Garden State Flag Football Association, an initiative focused on creating opportunities for young athletes—especially girls—across New Jersey. This is more than a league; it’s a collaborative community where teams and athletes can come together in a safe, structured environment to develop their skills, build confidence, and grow both on and off the field.

Flag football is rapidly emerging as one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation. With NCAA recognition at the Division I level and New Jersey passing approval on sanctioning it as an official high school sport, the timing couldn’t be more important. Our goal is to bring high-level training and competition to Central Jersey, helping bridge the gap while high school programs continue to develop. We are committed to giving young female athletes across the state a pathway to compete at the collegiate level and pursue scholarship opportunities.
