The top flag football tournaments happening in April 2026 — from the Patriots Bowl in Boston to Battle5 in Dallas and RZE nationwide.

Spring is here and the tournament circuit is heating up. April 2026 has over 50 youth flag football tournaments across the country — from invite-only national series to local single-day events perfect for younger teams getting their first taste of competition. Here are the ones worth knowing about.
Metro Boston Sports Group is running the Patriots Bowl on April 11 at Newton South High School under NFL Flag rules. Entry is $395 per team. MBSG also hosts a second Patriots Bowl date on April 19 at Brighton under 5v5 flag rules — giving New England teams two shots to compete. Both dates count toward the New England Cup standings, where teams accumulate points across the season for a shot at the NE Cup Championship in July.
If you're in the Northeast, MBSG is one of the most active tournament organizers in the region with events running monthly through summer. Browse all New England tournaments on Flag Football Finder.
Witch City Elite hosts The Cauldron Clash at Salem State University. This one runs under SHS (Salem High School) flag rules rather than standard NFL Flag, which adds a different competitive flavor for teams used to the 5v5 format. Combined with the Patriots Bowl the day before, Massachusetts teams have a strong back-to-back weekend on April 11–12.
Battle5 Texas is an invite-only 5v5 flag football tournament at Richland High School in North Richland Hills. Battle Flag Football runs one of the premier national tournament circuits in the country, and the Dallas stop is the first of three events leading to their National Championship in late May. Divisions run from 8U through high school for both boys and girls. If your team is competitive and based in Texas, this is the one to target.
The Red Zone Elite National Series is the most geographically spread tournament series in April. RZE runs over 25 events per year across the country, and each stop is a multi-format event — boys 7on7, girls 5v5 flag, and Big Man 5on5 all at the same tournament. That makes RZE one of the few series that gives linemen-type athletes their own competitive format alongside traditional flag and 7on7 divisions. April alone has stops in:
Divisions run from 8U through high school across all three formats.
The Coach Sarna League hosts the Gold Rush 5v5 Flag Football Tournament at Solano Community College. Registration is $350 per team with a minimum three-game guarantee. Divisions cover 8U through high school girls. Winners take home championship rings and an MVP award. This is a strong early-April option for Northern California teams looking for spring break competition.
Showcase7's Girls Flag 5v5 Championships is one of the few April tournaments focused exclusively on girls' flag football. Girls-only events remain harder to find on the tournament circuit, especially outside of major metro areas. If you have a girls team looking for dedicated competition, this is the one to bookmark.
Hard Count Athletics runs three national qualifier events in April:
These events feed into Hard Count's championship bracket later in the year. Three geographically spread dates give traveling teams options depending on their region.
CK Flag Football's Easter Eggz is a solid local tournament option for New Hampshire and Southern New England teams. Combined with the Patriots Bowl in Newton the same day, April 11 is the busiest single day for Northeast flag football this month.
The Bullitt Experience hosts The Bunny Bowl in Rowlett, just east of Dallas. This is a 5v5 format event and a good option for DFW-area teams looking for local competition without traveling for a national series.
Central Oklahoma Football's I-35 Classics is another dedicated girls flag event, this time in the Oklahoma City metro. With FFF expanding into the OKC market and girls flag growing nationally, this tournament fills a real gap for female athletes in the region.
